The iconic American band the Beach Boys formed in 1961 in California. The bang gained worldwide popularity for their close harmonies and lyrics which reflected a Southern California youth culture of Surfing, Cars and girls.
The Beach Boys had 36 top 40 hits in the USA including four number 1 singles and still have a large world wide fan base today.
