Kelly & Hayley are members of the superb vocal group Esterella who made it to bootcamp on ItV`s X-factor 2011
This sexy urban female duo are made up of Kelly Flanagan and Hayli Kincade. From first kisses and broken hearts to pillow fights to losing friends and finding strength in each other…Kelly and Hayli share it all! The best friends were both born and bred in Liverpool.
Fusing style, sophistication, sass and sex appeal, Edens music blends soul, jazz, rnb along with gospel. Both girls have been performing since a young age & have been singing together since the age of 10. They both come from large musical families which was how they met around the age of 5. The girls see themselves as more than friends, but as sisters.
Born to soul-singing parents Kelly and Hayli heard soul, gospel and rnb music by artists like Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Jill Scott, Lauren Hill, Alicia Keys, Boys to men and Eryka Badu from the very start. The girls deliver powerful soul vocals, smooth harmonies & prevailing adlibs which creates their unique sound.
Their music is fresh and well arranged by the girls themselves. Throughout their music their soul, gospel rnb influences can be are heard. Eden are a versatile talent who can moved easily from glossy ballads to hip-hop, urban inspired dance-pop.
Besides singing at school, they honed their harmonizing skills by singing a cappella on the streets, in school, or anywhere they could, billing themselves as an Unique Attraction. Eden believe that things would start to happen for them professionally if they could just get heard by the right person. It seems only a matter of time before the unsigned sisters' songwriting and vocal talents are going to lead to a record deal. They hope to be one of the first ever urban duos to be signed with a label.
Previous to the girls uniting they have both been involved in their own projects.
Kelly started recording in studios since the age of 12. She worked with several producers until she was approached by a record company in Liverpool and was managed by them from the age of 17. Kelly has supported several UK acts such as Blue, Atomic Kitten and Sugababes on their arena tour and performed at Liverpool Summer Pops back in 2004. Some more recent acts she has supported include Romeo, Lemar and Scouting for Girls.
Kelly has featured on local radio stations doing interviews and appeared on GMTV’S This Morning promoting her own single which was due to be released, featuring Simon Webbe called ‘Do Whats Right.’ Kelly decided to leave her management when she was 20 and remained solo doing her own gigs seeking new opportunities. As well as doing solo gigs she still performed with Hayli. They both performed regularly at local venues, taking part in Liverpools Africa Oye Concert and for the Antoney Walker Charity. The girls continuosly write songs and recorded new ideas together, as well as feature on numerous tracks for local producers.
The other sister in the group Hayli has just left University after studying Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University, gaining a first class honors in September. She has been involved in many music projects also & performs with a Jazz band called Kikosi formed with her university friends. Hayli also writes her own songs and plays the piano. She teaches vocal coaching, piano & songwriting workshops on a regular basis.
Together these smart, soulful independent women have high hopes and aspire to be like some of their idols, hoping soon their music will be heard around the world. If you don’t know them already, we believe now is the time you should get to know them!
