The growing popularity of what has been termed 'Celtic Music' has seen international interest focusing on Irish and Scottish music and the artists and musicians who have created it. So it's no surprise that The Boys Next Door, who have been performing the aforementioned music for many years, have sparked off a lot of additional interest in this particular area of their already well established act.
Their association with Celtic music began many years ago, whilst on tour in both Ireland and then Scotland. The group, a former busker, concert flautist and big band percussionist, immediately fell in love with the exiting and atmospheric sounds created by various drums, whistles and pipes which dominate Irish and Scottish music.
Due to popular interest and demand for this particular section of their act, the band have decided to dedicate a full show to Celtic music, ranging from pulse racing Irish jigs of the Pogues and the Fureys to the haunting ballads of Runrig and Rod Stewart.
If you're planning a night of great music, with the emphasis on originality and flair, then this is the band for you.
