With 20 years experience of professional music work and a degree in Music from Bristol University, Phil can provide music for any occasion in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Wales or further afield.
Phil has a repertoire of hundreds of songs from the last hundred years or so, from swinging jazz classics by the likes of Gershwin and Duke Ellington, through the master rock and soul songwriters of the sixties and seventies like the Beatles and Stevie Wonder, right down to modern classics by John Legend and Adele.
From this vast array he can craft a set for any situation, whether it be gentle ballads for candlelight, or something more lively for post-wedding ceremony drinks. With his indefatigable stride left-hand technique, he can be a self-contained rhythm section creating the atmosphere of the prohibition era!
As an excellent sight reader and gifted improviser with an ability to transpose (without using the button on the keyboard!) he is also an ideal accompanist for singers or other performers.
